The Weather Outside is Frightful!

I love snow, and usually Midland gets one or two "snow days" a year.  These are days when we might get a half inch or maybe one whole inch of snow.  This year we have had 3 snows that we would consider a large amount of snow, but yesterday's snow was massive.  Midland set a record with 10.6 inches of snow.  It also set a record for the most snowfall in a winter season.  Unfortunately, the snow didn't start to get heavy till after school started.  After a crazy early dismissal of students, my hair was soaked, my warm winter boots were soaked, and I was ready to get Mary and get home.  Kevin picked Ashlin up early from her daycare, and the 3 of us took a great 2 hour nap.  Then is was snow time.  While I made homemade chicken soup, Kevin pulled Mary on an old sled, and the two of them built a snowman.  When I asked Ashlin if she wanted to go outside and play, her response was, "No Snow! No Snow! Cold!" Obviously she is still not a fan.  Here are some pics of the snowman.  Mary would have stayed out all day if I had let her.
